WHAT’S NEW
Version 1.8 (63):
Introduction
- More than happy to declare fennel DVDManager 100% freeware… and to present its commercial twin brother: fennel DVDManager Pro!
Features
- Now allows you to filter DVDs by genre.
- Qualified for Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.7.
Enhancements
- (63) Now retrieves more than one author for Amazon entries with multiple authors (i.e. directors, artists, etc.).
- (63) Similarly to our Rate global and contextual menus, the Rate toolbar item now also displays the state of the current selection.
- (62) Retrieve: When searching Amazon websources, no mentions of progress were displayed; this now behaves similarly to DVDFr and IMDb.
- (62) Streamlined our contextual menu by removing the (rather inappropriate) global Add, Filter, and Search options.
- Placeholders for star-styled ratings in the Details pane are now displayed as “little dots” when in Edit modes.
- The Search toolbar item is horizontally-stretchable.
- (62) Plus some minor menu reorganization, with some more refinements in our Dutch, French, German, and Swedish localizations.
Fixes
- (63) Takes into account the recent changes that occurred on IMDb websources.
- (62) On Leopard, the selected items–and not the clicked item–were the target of any contextual action; from now on, selections should behave like on Tiger.
- Fixed a regression introduced in v1.7.9 in which manipulating completed contacts proposed in the Manage sheet could lead to a crash.
- When submitting changes in an Edit session, some fields (sporting valid values) could have been saved even if some invalid values were reported; it’s fixed now, which means that no change is saved until *all* the fields feature some valid values.
- Fixed some issues in our CSV-based Import action where some field mappings weren’t respected.
- Revolved an issue in Edit mode in which the red labeling of fields sporting an invalid value wasn’t appropriately reverted to black.
- Fixed the situation where, the library sorted in descending order with some box sets expanded, adding a DVD would not end editing the just-created item.
- Corrected some more memory leaks related to our Import action.
For Your Information
- We’re aware of missing bits in some languages, and are working on completing them ASAP thanks to our localizers; we’ll push newer builds through Software Update as they become available, hopefully in the very near future. Thanks for your understanding in the meantime…
REQUIREMENTS
- Mac OS X Tiger v10.4 or later, Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.7 recommended.
